Near and Dear

This family is very near and dear to my heart. Their latest addition makes baby boy number 3! I started with them almost 4 years ago at a newborn session for their first son and I am so honored that they still have me coming back.

C, these would look amazing above your bed!!! These are the new frames from The Organic Bloom. They come in different sizes, shapes, and colors. I will post more about them soon.

I have finally slowed down from the holiday rush!

I just wanted to post a few of my favorite images from the holiday sessions. There are so many more that I need to post. Thank you to all of my wonderful clients that come back year after year. You don't know how much that means to me.

I thought my friend was crazy when she called me up and asked if I would take a few shots of her daughter yesterday morning for her birthday invitations. I threw on my uggs and grabbed my camera and we drove down the street for these adorable shots. If you know Keira then you know this is totally her...

There is still time!!!

Backdrops are everywhere...

On the day of our family Thanksgiving dinner my sister-in-law asked me to snap a few pictures of her and my brother. We walked out the door and I instantly was drawn to the pile of wood on the empty lot next door. Judging by the look of her face, she must have thought I was crazy when I told her to sit her little hiney down. I told her to trust me it would be great, and it was! I love the look of her pictures so much I'm thinking of taking my kids back for their Christmas picture right there.

And then there is Julie...

She is the payback for anything bad I have ever done! Julie is demanding, stong-willed, loud (like me), and has a temper like no other. She constantly keeps me on my toes. I can't take my eyes off her for one second or she is gone. I even went as far as to buy one of those silly kid leashes. I always thought that was so mean until I had a child like Julie then I totally understood why parents use them. She is your typical third child and I'm so thankful that she came along. I love the way her little hand pats my back when she hugs me. She is always my little helper and tries so hard to do what her brother and sister do. She is my little leader and will go far in life with her will and determination. She completes our family and is our constant entertainment.

My sweet Em...

If you know Emily then you know what a sweet loving child she is. She can truly light up any room and is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She is my best friend and I love her so much! She HATES having her picture taken. We fought all the way to the location about what she would wear. She loves to wakeboard and is actually really good at it. It drives me crazy that she won't wear anything girly like dresses, skirts, or those cute headbands that all the girls are wearing now. She is my first born and has a very special place in my heart. I can only hope that we continue to be buds as the teenage years quickly approach.
